Arriving at this location just minutes before first light of day, I was able to create this photographic image of one of North America's most iconic landscapes as dawn unfolded all around me. This being one of the most photographed areas in the world, I found that the weather, lack of any breeze and diffused light available only at the extreme ends of daylight, that is dawn and dusk, I would have a very wide range of film latitude to work with the
