Rose Stone and Ashy Clay
Artwork ID # 2306-36727-41
While exploring intimate landforms of the Wahweap Formation on the alluvial terrace of Wahweap Creek I was stopped by this most anatomical= like formation resembling the chambers of the human heart. And further drawn in by the subtle colors of rose stone and ashy clay which described these forms. They remind me of some of the close up photos NASA has obtained with the Mars Rover.
" The notion that pottery was the invention of ...only the last 7,000 years is a fallacy, as most children who play in mud puddles would know. "
